FREE Bulky Item Drop-Off, Paper Shredding, E-Waste, and Compost Event!

EDCO and the City of Lemon Grove are sponsoring a FREE bulky item drop-off, paper shredding, electronic waste collection, and compost event.

9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
3200 Main Street, Lemon Grove, CA 91945

Examples of what you may bring:

• Furniture (e.g., sofas, chairs, and dressers)
• Mattresses (please wrap before bringing it to the event – special mattress disposal bags can be purchased at hardware stores, e.g., Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.)  
• Appliances (e.g., washers, dryers, and refrigerators)
• Debris from home improvement projects
• Green Waste

Unwanted electronics (e-waste), including TVs, computer monitors, printers, fax machines, VCRs, etc., will also be collected.

However, no household hazardous waste (i.e. light bulbs, batteries, paint, pesticides, herbicides), tires, medical waste, or oversized items (i.e. pianos, spas) will be accepted. Debris from contractors, landscapers or commercial businesses will NOT be accepted.

There will be a certified shredding truck during the event, and all items will be shredded ONSITE! Limited to three (2) banker boxes (10”x12”x15”) per household.

Free Compost! Also available will be free compost for residents (while supplies last). This is a self-serve, self-loading service, so please bring your own cans/bags and shovel. If you plan to haul your compost in an open truck or trailer, please remember to bring a tarp to cover your material.

Goodwill will also be onsite to accept donated reusable items. Please click here for a list of items that Goodwill will not accept.

The event is for Lemon Grove residents only. Proof of Residency Required.
